Last summer's trip: Barcelona, Spain
In the summer of 2016, seven students and two faculty librarians embarked on a learning adventure. The group spent a week in Corvallis prior to arriving in Barcelona, Spain. They discussed what it would be like to travel abroad for the first time, prepped their research skills, and started to build connections as a group. Once in Barcelona, the class would meditate, write in their journals, discuss differences in cultures with one another, and visit several historical sites for two weeks. They also learned more about social justice topics such as tourism, immigration, language justice, and more. To learn more about the trip, check out the Barcelona weebly page!
